26-year-old producer, on-air host, voice-over queen, TV personality, Star Connor is considered one of the top entertainers of Charlotte, NC. Born in Charlotte, but reared in Gastonia, NC, Star is taking the Top 24 Market city by storm.
Star is a 2009 Magna Cum Laude graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, School of Journalism. While attending North Carolina A&T, Star stayed involved with many organizations building an empire. Star served for two years as a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Short Course program as an assignment editor, and the following year as a reporter. She has covered some of the Nation's top stories, including traveling to Jena, Louisiana for the Jena Six Trials, and President Obama's speech in Mt. Holly, NC, 2012 Democratic National Convention, and First Lady Michelle Obama's visit to Charlotte, Voter Rally. Star has always known she had a gift and was given the perfect name. While in college she was mentored by D' Cherie Lofton, the Program Director of North Carolina A&T's college radio station WNAA- FM 90.1, interned and worked for WCNC-NBC News Channel 6, interned with Charlotte's Top Hip Hop station CBS-Radio Power 98, The Morning Maddhouse, WGHP Fox 8 news, in High Point, NC and WFDD-FM 88.5 National Public Radio in Winston-Salem, NC.
Star is the currently the producer of the nationally syndicated show, The Yolanda Adams Morning Show, on WPZS-FM, Praise 100.9/92.7 (Inspirational) and On-Air Host for WOSF-FM, Old School 105.3 (Urban AC). She also reports and interviews top celebrities and entertainers at red-carpet events, shows and more with her show, Access Charlotte, which is seen on Radio One websites and other social media networks. She is also a editor and blogger for the Frequency Magazine, A Radio One Publication and has recently co-teamed with Dream Media Studios as one of their entertainment host.
